In my mind, Thor and Loki are exactly what Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin looked like, colors and all. While Salazar’s personal colors were green and gold and Godric’s red and silver, they used the other’s secondary color as the accent for their house in honor of the man they considered their brother.
